Ahmad ibn Muhammad Ardabili ((ペルシア語:احمد بن محمد اردبیلی)) was a Shia Grand Ayatollah of jurisprudence who had been known as ''Moghaddas Ardabili'' and ''Mohaghegh Ardabili''. After the death of Zayn al-Din al-Juba'i al'Amili (Shahid Thani), he was the Marja' of the Shiite in the Holy Iranian city of Najaf. Scholars known him as ''Mohaghegh'' due to his competence in researching. Non-scholars known him as ''Muoghaddas''. ==Life and Education== Ahmad was born in the Safaviyya era (16th century) in Ardabil, Azerbaijan in Iran.〔 He moved to Najaf and where he continued his education. He moved to Shiraz to continue his study of philosophy under Jamal al-Din Mahmud, the student of Jalaladdin Davani. Mohaghegh learnt about intellectual science and Fiqh in the seminary of Najaf. He renounced teaching intellectual subjects and taught narrative sciences at the last years of his life in Najaf. The seminary of Najaf thrived under his management.
